  • What is a G-String wax?

    A G-String wax removes hair further in from the bikini line while leaving more hair at the front than a Brazilian or Hollywood wax.

    Hair is removed from:

    ✓ The sides of the bikini area

    ✓ Further in around the intimate area

    ✓ Underneath

    ✓ The bum area

    More hair is left at the front, giving you a tidy finish without removing everything.

    If you want less hair left at the front, a Brazilian may suit you better. If you want everything removed, choose a Hollywood.

  • Is a G-String wax right for me?

    A G-String wax is a good choice if you:

Nervous about your first G-string wax?

This is probably the biggest thing clients worry about.

You will need to remove your underwear for parts of the treatment, but we'll keep things professional and straightforward and tell you where we need you to move or position yourself.

There is no judgement and no need to feel embarrassed. Intimate waxing is a normal part of our working day.

And yes — the first wax can be uncomfortable. We're not going to tell you that you won't feel it.

But we work efficiently, use professional Harley Wax and try to make the treatment as quick and comfortable as we can.

▣ Before your G-String wax

• A waxing patch test is required for all new clients and anyone whose last waxing appointment with us was six months ago or longer. It must be completed at least 24 hours before your waxing appointment.
• Leave enough hair growth for the wax to grip properly. If you’re unsure, don’t trim it too short before your appointment.
• Gently exfoliate the area before your wax.
• Avoid heavy lotions, oils or heavily fragranced products on the area on the day of your appointment.
• Let us know if you are taking medication or using skincare that may make your skin more sensitive.

We’ll talk you through the treatment and tell you exactly where we need you to move or position yourself.

You will need to remove your underwear for parts of a G-String  wax, but we keep the treatment professional, straightforward and as comfortable as possible.


A G-String wax removes hair from the sides, underneath and back while leaving more hair at the front than a Brazilian. We use professional Harley Wax and work efficiently without dragging the treatment out.

If it’s your first G-String wax, you may find it more uncomfortable than someone who waxes regularly, but we’ll guide you through it as we go.

♡ Aftercare

• Your skin may look red or feel warm immediately after waxing.
• Avoid hot baths, saunas, swimming, intense exercise and excessive heat for 24–48 hours.
• Avoid sunbathing and tanning beds for 24–48 hours.
• Avoid perfumed or heavily fragranced products on the waxed area while the skin is settling.
• Moisturise the area regularly.
• Once the skin has settled, exfoliate around once a week to help reduce ingrown hairs.

How long does a G-String wax last?

Most of our regular G-String waxing clients book around every 6–8 weeks, although everyone’s hair growth is different.

If you have been shaving, your first few waxes can have hair growing at different stages. As you continue waxing regularly, your appointments usually become easier to maintain.

What’s the difference between a G-String and Brazilian wax?

Does a G-String wax hurt?


It can be uncomfortable, especially if it’s your first wax or you have been shaving. We work quickly and use Harley Wax to make the treatment as comfortable as possible.

How long should I leave between G-String waxes?


We generally recommend around 6–8 weeks, depending on your own hair growth.

How long should the hair be?


The hair needs to be long enough for the wax to grip properly. If you are unsure, it is better to leave it rather than trimming it too short.

Can I have a G-String wax while I’m on my period?


Yes, but the area can be more sensitive at this time. You will need to use a tampon or menstrual cup during the treatment.

Can I exercise after my wax?


We recommend avoiding intense exercise for 24–48 hours, especially if the area still feels warm or sensitive.

Can I swim, use a sauna or have a hot bath afterwards?


Avoid swimming, saunas, hot baths and excessive heat for 24–48 hours after waxing.

Can I sunbathe after a G-String wax?


Avoid strong sun and tanning beds for 24–48 hours after your wax.
