    All hair is removed from the intimate area, including the front, underneath and between the buttocks.

First wax? We’ll talk you through it. 

You don’t need to arrive knowing what to do. We’ll explain the treatment, tell you where to position yourself and answer your questions.

For intimate waxing, you’ll need to remove your underwear for the areas being treated. There’s no need to apologise for your body or feel you have to look a certain way.

And yes, waxing can be uncomfortable—especially the first time. We won’t promise you won’t feel it, but we’ll work efficiently and help you feel at ease.

 Before you book 

  • Leave enough hair growth for the wax to grip, and avoid trimming it short if you’re unsure.

  • Let us know about medication, skincare products or irritation that may affect the area being waxed.

  • Read the preparation and aftercare advice on your chosen treatment page before your appointment.

Do I need a patch test?


All new waxing clients need a patch test at least 24 hours before their first treatment at Freya. If it has been six months or more since your last waxing appointment with us, you’ll need a new patch test at least 24 hours before your next treatment.

Please allow at least 24 hours between your patch test and waxing appointment when booking.
