Client Health, Hygiene & Booking Policy

Welcome to Freya. Your comfort, safety, and satisfaction are our top priorities. To ensure the highest standards of hygiene and professionalism, we kindly ask all clients to review the following important policies before attending an appointment.


Hygiene & Safety Standards

  • All tools, equipment, and treatment areas are thoroughly disinfected between every client.

  • Disposable materials are used where possible, and fresh towels/linens are provided for every service.

  • Staff are fully trained in health, hygiene, and infection control protocols.


Patch Testing Policy

To ensure your safety and avoid allergic reactions, we require patch tests for the following treatments at least 24–48 hours in advance:

  • Waxing

  • Tinting

  • LVL Lash Lifts

  • Brow Lamination

If you are new to these services at our salon or have not had a patch test with us in the last 6 months, a patch test is mandatory.

Tanning Patch Test: Recommended for first-time clients or those with sensitive skin. We offer patch tests for Vita Liberata and Lusso Tan.


Age Policy

We do not provide treatments for clients under the age of 16. Proof of age may be requested.


Appointment Policies

To ensure fairness, clarity, and the smooth running of our salon, we kindly ask all guests to review and agree to the following policies before booking:

Cancellations & Fees

We require a minimum of 24 hours’ notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.

  • Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed appointments, will incur a fee of up to 50% of the booked treatment cost.

  • This policy allows us to respect the time of our team and offer appointments to other clients waiting.

Deposits & Refunds

  • A deposit is required to secure your booking.

  • Deposits are non-refundable.

  • If you cancel with more than 24 hours’ notice, your deposit can be held as a credit toward a future appointment (but is not refundable).

  • Deposits are forfeited if cancellations are made within 24 hours of your appointment or if you do not attend.

Payments

  • All services must be paid for in full on the day of your appointment.

  • Any unpaid balances may be referred to a third-party collection agency.

Agreement to Terms

By booking an appointment at Freya Beauty, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Pricing Notice


To continue providing the exceptional service, care, and results our guests expect, our pricing reflects rising industry costs and the ongoing investment we make in our team, education, and salon experience. Prices are subject to adjustment without prior notice.


Before Your Appointment

To help us provide the best experience possible:

  • Arrive 5–10 minutes early for your appointment, especially for facials or consultations.

  • Avoid wearing makeup to facial treatments where possible.

  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing for massage or body treatments.

  • Refrain from using sunbeds or tanning 24 hours before waxing or peels.

  • Avoid caffeine or alcohol before advanced skin treatments or microneedling.


Aftercare Advice (General Guidelines)

Depending on your treatment, we may provide personalized aftercare, but general guidance includes:

Facials / Peels / Microneedling

  • Avoid direct sunlight, heat, or sweating (e.g., saunas, intense exercise) for 24–48 hours.

  • Do not use exfoliating products or active ingredients (like retinol or AHAs) for several days.

  • Always wear SPF daily.

Waxing

  • Avoid hot showers, tight clothing, sun exposure, and heavy exercise for 24 hours.

  • Exfoliate gently 2–3 days post-treatment to prevent ingrown hairs.

LVL Lashes / Brow Lamination

  • Keep the area dry for 24–48 hours.

  • Avoid steam, saunas, and oil-based products around the eyes/brows.

Spray Tanning

  • Arrive with clean, exfoliated skin and no moisturisers, perfumes, or deodorants.

  • Wear dark, loose clothing.

  • Avoid showering for at least 8–10 hours post-treatment.
